About Riding For RainCatcher
RiIDING FOR RAINCATCHER is an event that I decided to create to help bring safe, clean drinking water to those that do not have access to it.
WHAT AM I DOING?
On May 4, 2016 I will leave my hometown in Somers Point, New Jersey and ride my bicycle over 3000 miles, arriving in Malibu, California on July 4, 2016.
While on the tour I will seek to raise awareness and money for RainCatcher.
WHY AM I DOING IT ?
You may be thinking, " Why ride cross country?" That's a great question. You see, the fact that there are over 1.4 million people all over the world do not have access to safe drinking water is a HUGE problem. The fact that over 6000 people die every single day , and 90 percent of them are children under the age of five is a HUGE problem. So I felt that doing something that completely challenges me might make a statement of how important it is to come together and do something that would bring hope and a healthy future to others by simply bringing them safe water. Think about it. Every day most of us have all the clean water that we could possibly want. We stay hydrated and healthy, living our lives and planning our future., while others never even have the chance. Many never have access to clean water. EVER.
