About Uganda Tank
As a board member for RainCatcher, I’m going to finish the year by helping to get a rainwater harvesting tank to King David Junior School in Bukomansimbi, Uganda. The 260 children that attend this school are counting on all of us to support their health, education and futures. I plan to raise $1,500 by December 31. Help me reach my goal by making a tax-deductible donation today!
I've been involved with RainCatcher for a few years now and recently joined the board of directors. I'm inspired by RainCatcher's mission to sustainably deliver water to those in need, and in turn have dedicated my own time and resources to enable the cause.
Thank you for taking a moment out of your busy day to come learn about our mission and provide your support. It doesn't take much to make an immediate impact - each $1 donated to RainCatcher will provide clean drinking water to a child for years to come.
Thanks again for your time and support!
Byron

Using rain water harvesting, RainCatcher uses one of the least expensive, most sustainable, and easy to implement solutions to bring clean water to areas with huge unmet need. Technology similar to dialysis is used to filter out bacteria and sediment, leaving the water clean.
Over 1.5 BILLION people on earth don't have access to any clean drinking water. EVER.
Over 5,000 children under the age of 5 die EVERY DAY because they are drinking dirty, contaminated water.
Even though these numbers seem big, even a small donation will make a real difference in the life on one person. Providing a rain water harvesting system will mean all the kids at that school and the people in the village will no longer have to walk up to 4 hours per day to collect water that can also make them sick. It means fewer kids dying.
In addition, what makes RainCatcher unique is the ongoing follow up that they provide to ensure that the water harvesting continues to operate smoothly and provide ongoing education. This differentiates the organization from many others.
